Scope and Contents
The Lucy Liggett Papers are the personal and professional files and items kept by Dr. Lucy Liggett. She was a professor for Eastern Michigan University from 1983 to 1999. The collection includes two series: ACADEMIC AND PERSONAL PAPERS and AUDIO VISUAL PRODUCTIONS. The ACADEMIC AND PERSONAL PAPERS series is divided into sub-series chronologically. The AUDIO VISUAL PRODUCTIONS series includes individual items. The collection includes the work that Dr. Lucy Liggett had done while at Eastern Michigan University (EMU). This includes her work with music therapy for hospice patients, her research into film director Ida Lupino and former Commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Frieda B. Hennock, and Dr. Liggett's work with the EMU Theatre and Ypsilanti Cable Television Review Committee. The collection also includes her work as an educator, containing class schedules and instruction plans. There are materials such as personal and inter-office correspondence, applications for reappointment and promotion, newspapers and articles, applications for travel, and information about EMU's Summer Institute and Symposiums. There are VHS tapes and U-Matic tapes that Dr. Liggett had kept of her students projects and productions put on by the EMU Theatre. The materials inside this collection are dated approximately 1983 to 1999.

Abstract
There are multiple videos. The first is a recording of the second act of The Torchbearers by George Kelly put on by the Telecommunications and Film area, Department of Communication and Theatre Arts at Eastern Michigan University. The second is the third act of Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? The third video is a documentary on World War I. The last video is the intro to a Detroit Public Access television show.
