Scope and Contents
The Campus Police records includes a variety of materials pertaining to the administration of the Campus Police and Department of Public Safety. Materials include flyers and pamphlets, safety policies and procedures, news clippings and releases, program and event records, Hazards Communication Programs, and annuals security reports. Materials in the collection date from 1968 to 2011.
The records have been divided into seven series: Clippings which is arranged chronologically, Communications includes press releases, flyers, pamphlets, and other materials distributed to faculty on students, as well as correspondence and mass e-mails (hardcopies), Contracts includes clippings regarding contract negotiations and copies of contract agreements that date from 1976-2006. Materials in this series are arranged chronologically. Department of Public Safety, a subset of the Campus Police, includes the administrative materials of the department, Events and Programs includes information relevant to specific activities of the Campus Police, both planned and unplanned, and Policies and Administration which includes the Campus Police materials relevant to its activities and administration, including reports, statistics, and procedures. Promotional Materials includes materials distributed to promote efforts and services provided by the Campus Police.
