Scope and Contents
The Joseph Bom and Edward C. Green Civil War collection documents two soldiers from Michigan who fought in the American Civil War. The records span from 1860 until 1922. The collection is comprised of two files, one file dedicated to each soldier.
The Joseph Bom file concerns Bom's service and pension records. Bom was a Private in company G of the 1st Michigan Infantry, alternative spellings of his last name include: Baum and Born. The Edward C. Green file contains correspondence written to and from Edward C. Green during the American Civil War when Green served with the 18th Michigan Volunteer Infantry.
