Classroom Activities and Projects, circa 1908-1912
Scope and Contents
The Leta Benedict papers contain class notes and assignments completed while Benedict was attending Michigan State Normal College. The notes and assignment topics include brickmaking, cardboard construction, cotton, experiments, drawing Egyptian art, fancy cooking, infant feeding, lesson plans, morning glories, nature, observations, papermaking, social settlement work in Chicago and infectious diseases. Also included in the collection is her Domestic Science Notebook, kept during her enrollment in Miss Sara M. Arnot's course at the Michigan State Normal College; and grade reports from Benedict's high school. The collection is arranged alphabetically. Records date from 1905-1912.
