Scope and Contents
The Kappa Phi Alpha Fraternity collection contains information on accounting records, constitution, house regulations, incident reports, meeting minutes, member lists, pledge letters, songs, clippings, correspondence, events, flyers, newsletters programs and scrapbook. The collection is arranged alphabetically and dates from 1929-2011.
The collection is divided into five series: Administration and History, Composites, Eric Fillyaw Case, Publicity and Outreach, Realia, and a Scrapbook. The Administration and History series contains information on accounting records, constitution, house regulations, incident reports, meeting minutes (which has a complete run from 1930-1969), member lists, pledge letters, and songs. The Eric Fillyaw Case series contains information on correspondence, documents, InterFraternity Council Hearing, and police interviews from the investigation. The Publicity and Outreach series includes information on clippings, correspondence, events and flyers, newsletters, programs. The Realia series inclues clothing, paddles, pins and other items collection by brothers of the fraternity. Most of the materials in this series are from the 1960s.
