Scope and Contents

From the Record Group:

The American Civil War records include the series of the 17th Michigan Infantry. These records include a bibliography and related secondary materials, images given to the University Archives by John Rice (a filmmaker working on a Michigan State Normal College 150th anniversary documentary in 2002), as well as clippings and materials relating to Civil War memorials on campus. Also included in this series is a medal from the GAR 33rd Encampment Semi-Centennial, which took place June 21-23, 1911.
