Scope and Contents
The Emanuel G. Fenz slide collection is divided into nine series: 1. Asia which includes China Trade, India, and Non-West; 2. Cultural, including ancient history, armors, baroque, castles, Chinese immigration, cowboys, impressionism, monarchy, music, peasants and knights, and romanticism; 3. Europe including Italy, France, Austria, Ireland, and England; 4. Museums and Architecture which includes antebellum, architecture, engravings, flowers, forts of Charleston, medieval churches, propous, Wien Baroque; 5. Religion, which includes Asian religions, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, and Islamic practices; 6. People, including Calamity Jane, Belle Star, E. Custer, and modern Texas cowboys; 7. Time Period including 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries; 8. United States, which includes Arizona, Becoming American, Labor and Industry, New York City South Street Market, and Oregon; 9. War Time which includes barbarian invasions, French Revolution, Holocaust and Interwar, Thirty Years War, and World War II, Africa. The labels for each individual folder and file were created by Fenz himself. The collection is arranged alphabetically. Records date from 1969-1988.
