Faculty Plans, 2001 - 2002

 Item — Box: 2, Folder: 9

Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The Faculty Plans were published by the Eastern Michigan University Planning & Analysis, and were prepared in accordance with the "Planning Manual for Academic Departments." The plans provided estimates of departmental faculty allocations for each fiscal year. The Provost recommended a final faculty plan after review of the Faculty Plan by the college deans. In 1981, a new procedure was introduced, which provided significantly more detail. According to the new procedure, in order to prepare the plans, the Director of Institutional Research put together a projection of University enrollment based upon recent enrollment trends, and external demographic and economic factors. This projection was then distributed to academic departments based upon departmental output trends.

The Faculty Plans have been arranged chronologically, from 1981 through 2002.
