Hattie Ellen Johnson Follo was born on October 15, 1893 to Charles A. Johnson and Ellen Johnson in Escanaba, Michigan. Johnson attended Escanaba Grade School and High School, graduating in May 1910. She enrolled at Michigan State Normal College and graduated in 1914. The Hattie Ellen Johnson Follo papers consist of a scrapbook donated by their creator, Michigan State Normal College alum Hattie Ellen Johnson. While attending the College from 1910 to 1914, Johnson Follo collected postcards, photographs, and other materials.

Biographical note
Hattie Ellen Johnson Follo was born on October 15, 1893 to Charles A. Johnson and Ellen Johnson in Escanaba, Michigan. Johnson attended Escanaba Grade School and High School, graduating in May 1910. She enrolled at Michigan State Normal College and graduated in 1914.
After graduation Johnson taught grade school in Akron, Ohio, where she met Howard Lincoln Follo. They were married in Escanaba in June 1927. The couple moved to Lancaster, Wisconsin and opened "Follo's Wonder Store." They had two children, Mary Ellen who died in infancy, and Peter Buck, born in 1934. Howard Lincoln Follo passed away in 1956, and Hattie Johnson Follo continued to run their business until the 1960s, when she sold it.
Hattie Ellen Johnson Follo passed away in February 1975, and was buried in Lancaster, Wisconsin.

Abstract
The Hattie Ellen Johnson Follo papers consist of a scrapbook donated by their creator, Michigan State Normal College alum Hattie Ellen Johnson. While attending the College from 1910 to 1914, Johnson Follo collected postcards, photographs, and other materials.
Separated Materials
The Hattie Ellen Johnson Follo scrapbook was transfered to the University Archives by the Office of Alumni Relations, as part of a larger transfer of materials. It was determined that the scrapbook should be removed from the records and processed as its own collection.
