William Henry VanFleet collection
Abstract
The William Henry VanFleet collection includes personal items collected by William H. VanFleet (class of 1930) and donated to the Univeristy Archives by his son, William E. VanFleet (class of 1965). VanFleet was a member of the Kappa Phi Alpha Fraternity, the 1927-29 basketball teams and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, going on to teach Physical Education and serving as the department head at Hutchins Junior High School in Detroit, Michigan. Included in the collection is a photograph of the Michigan State Normal College basketball team, his diploma and two awards given to VanFleet in honor of his service as an officiant to high school basketball.
