Dr. Michael Harris was Associate Provost at Eastern Michigan University, as well as a professor of political science specializing in public policy and administration. In 1994, Dr. Harris became a professor at EMU, and in 2000 was appointed Associate Provost. In 2004 Dr. Harris left EMU to accept the position of Vice President for Academic Affairs at Ferris State University.

Biographical Note

Dr. Michael Harris was Associate Provost at Eastern Michigan University, as well as a professor of political science specializing in public policy and administration. Dr. Harris earned his BS in Economics and Business Administration from Bar-Ilan University, his M.S. from Tel-Aviv University, and his Ph.D. in public policy from Indiana University, and is also a graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Education's Management Development Program. In 1994, Dr. Harris became a professor at EMU, and in 2000 was appointed Associate Provost. Dr. Harris published two books, Public Policy and Electoral Reform: The Case of Israel and Term Limits, as well as variety of articles; he often served as a political commentator on the topic of the U.S. and Israel to broadcast and print media. While at EMU, he was the recipient of the Distinguished Faculty Award for Teaching and the Teaching Excellence Award. In 2004 Dr. Harris left EMU to accept the position of Vice President for Academic Affairs at Ferris State University.
