Scope and Contents

The Computer Center records are organized into three series of records: Administrative Files series which includes budget files, computer proposals, computing plans, programs, and user guides as well as correspondence, a directory of volunteer consultants, floor plan, ICT crosscutting issues planning committee book, ISIS orientation book, minutes, recommendations, reports, research notes, and surveys; A Press series that contains clippings, news releases, and newsletters; and a Promotional series containing pamphlets and fliers. All materials are arranged chronologically and document the center between 1980 and 2001 the Center, which is now the Department of Information Technology is not documented after 2001.

Researchers are asked to request materials 24 hours prior to visiting the the University Archives.

The Learning Technology's Computer Center, now called the Division of Information Technology, mission is to provide students, faculty, and staff with resources and technologies. Their goal is to give the students access to the technology that will help them be successful at Eastern Michigan University.
