Richard Robb collection
Abstract
Dr. Richard Robb, was appointed to the Board of Regents in 1967 by Governor George W. Romney, and elected chairman in 1975. An alumni of EMU, Robb also graduated from the University of Michigan Dental School and served in the U.S. Army. The Richard Robb collection contains items such as certificates, clippings, correspondence, commencement programs, photos, postcards, and a telegram that document his time on the EMU Board of Regents where he serves as Board chairman. Materials are arranged alphabetically and only document Robb's time on the Board of Regents and major initiatives, programs, and events that occurred during his tenure--including the Swaziland initiative, and the successful season of the football team.

Biographical note
Dr. Richard Robb, was appointed to the Board of Regents in 1967 by Governor George W. Romney and elected chairman of the Board in 1975. Robb graduated from Ypsilanti High School, is an alumni of EMU and the University of Michigan Dental School, and served in the U.S. Army. Robb served on the Board longer than any any other individual and has spent his years engaging in University affairs to help build EMU into the 85th largest university by increasing the quality of education. He has contributed to the Ypsilanti community and has been part of numerous organizations such as the Jaycees, the Rotary Board, chamber of commerce, youth groups, and the Presbyterian Church.
