Alma Weidemann Sawnson Memory Book
Abstract
The Alma Weidmann Swanson Memory Book documents the experience of Alma Marie Weidmann Swanson, a student at Michigan State Normal College from 1924-1926. She was originally from Detroit and studied Physical Education. Weidmann was involved on campus as a member of the Physical Education Club, and Pi Kappa Sigma. During her time at Michigan State Normal she enjoyed an active social calendar including football games, dances and multiple friendships, displayed by her large assortment of cards recorded in her scrapbook. Weidmann also pursued academic interests by participating in the 23rd Annual Indoor Meet of the Physical Education Girls and attending the Michigan State Normal College Institute of Folk Dancing. Weidmann graduated in June of 1926. The scrapbook includes event programs, letters, clippings and photographs. Records date from 1924-1926.
