Abstract

The Loren D. Estleman papers contains outgoing correspondence, manuscripts, notes and promotional materials dating from 1978-1987. Born September 15, 1952 in Ann Arbor Michigan, Estleman is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and has had a successful career as an author of detective and Western fiction. The Correspondence series includes carbon copies of all outgoing correspondence and was arranged by the creator both chronologically and alphabetically--personal correspondence was filed by the last name of the addressee and professional was filed by work title. The Manuscript series includes corrected manuscripts, galleys, and marked sets from monograph publications dating from 1978 through 1986, with the exception of the file 'Cookbook - very rough draft.' Also included in the collection is a notebook and a promotional poster. Given that Mr. Estleman continued to publish work in the 1990s and 2000s this is an incomplete collection of his work.
