Mabel E. (Walters) Glockzin class notes
The Mabel E. (Walters) Glockzin class notes is a collection of notebooks from her time at the Michigan State Normal College in the spring of 1909 and notes from the Teacher Librarian Training Course attended in the summer of 1931 at the Central State Teachers College in Stevens Point, Wisconsin (now University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point). The books each contain handwritten class notes for a single course and is labeled with the course and instructor. The course notes have been transcribed and typed and focus on course subjects of administration, classification, cataloging, and reference.

Mabel E. Walters was born 5 July 1887 in Willis, Michigan. She attended Michigan State Normal College in the Spring of 1909. Walters married Albert A. Glockzin in 1914 and together they raised a son, Albert Jr. born in 1916. They lived in Connersville, Indiana and Appelton, Wisconin. In the summer of 1931, Glockzin attended the Teach Librarian Training Course at the Central State Teachers College in Stevens Point Wisconsin (now the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point).

Language of Materials
Mabel Glockzin gave these materials to Susan Rishworth, her neighbor in Appleton, Wisconsin, in the late 1960s when Susan was attending library school. In 2013, Susan passed the collection on to Dolores Barber who offered to find a good home for them. The materials were donated to the Eastern Michigan University Archives in November 2013.
