Abstract

The Michigan Association of Governing Boards, presented an annual award to distinguished faculty and outstanding students “in recognition of a treasured Michigan resource and the promise it represents for our states’ future.” The Association was disbanded in 2001. The Michigan Association of Governing Boards Faculty and Student Award files, 1983-2000, were maintained by a variety of offices including the then Office of the Vice President of University Marketing and Student Affairs. The bulk of the materials in this collection includes programs from 1983-2000 and student nomination letters and correspondence regarding attendence at the ceremony from 1984-2000, with the exception of 1987, and VHS cassettes of the 1997-2000 ceremonies.
