Anna Foster autograph book
Abstract
The Anna Foster autograph book titled Memory's Leaves, contains lithographs and many hand-written notes from Anna Foster's friends and colleagues during her time as a student at the Michigan State Normal School. The autograph book was published by Moss & Brother in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Enrollment records show that Foster was a student enrolled at Michigan State Normal School in 1861; however, the notes and signatures in the book are dated between 1861 and 1863. Many of the individuals indicated their hometown after their name and date of inscription.

Biographical Note
Anna Foster was a student enrolled at Michigan State Normal School in 1861. Her autograph book Memory's Leaves contains several lithographs, and spaces for friends to write her notes. There are several notes written to Foster throughout, some of whom may have been students at the Normal School as well. The notes are signed and dated between 1861 and 1863. Foster signed the book herself in the front cover, "Anna Foster, Clarkston, MI."
