Biographical / Historical
William Albert "Bill" Chapman graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1968. Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Bill attended Eastern Michigan University, studying Economics and Social Sciences. Bill became interested in the psychology of painting and began a series of paintings meant to "depict the Canadian environment for an overseas audience."(unidentified news article) He is quoted as saying that his "goal is not to sell paintings in Canada, but to paint Canada and send them everywhere else." (unidentified news article).
