The Carl Roland Anderson papers documents Anderson's time at Eastern Michigan University from 1947 - 1968. The collection is organized as it was given to University Archives. The collection contains materials including Anderson's personal papers, as well as information concerning educational training and field services. Of particular note is a collection of ledgers dating from 1882 - 1956 which were donated to University Archives by Anderson.

Abstract The College of Education at Eastern Michigan University was formally established in 1959, but the University began as a Normal School, or teacher-training school, in 1849. Materials inlcluded in this collection are office files with budget reports, faculty and staff information, and documents related to administrative functions. Abstract

On January 1, 1962 Eastern Michigan University, joined the University of Michigan and Wayne State University in a program providing adult education classes through the University center for Adult Education. The University Center for Adult Education records date from 1960-1979 and include correspondence, booklets, clippings, and pamphlets affiliated with this program.
