Abstract

The Coatings Research Institute records contain documents pertaining to the creation of the institute at Eastern Michigan University in 1985. The collection includes site plans, administrative reports, press releases, and other materials relevant to the CRI. This collection gives valuable insight to the evolution of coatings research at Eastern Michigan University.

Scope and Contents From the Collection: The John W. Porter collection documents Porter's tenure as University President from 1979 until 1989. The collection is organized as it was given to University Archives and is organized loosely by topic, containing fifteen identifiable series and one identifiable subseries.
