Abstract

The Department of Computer Science records contain documents relevant to the department at Eastern Michigan University from its founding in 1984 to 2015. The collection includes press releases, program proposals, curriculum details, and other materials. It is valuable to the study of the expansion of the program.

Scope and Contents From the Collection: The John W. Porter collection documents Porter's tenure as University President from 1979 until 1989. The collection is organized as it was given to University Archives and is organized loosely by topic, containing fifteen identifiable series and one identifiable subseries.
