Grants and Programs

 Series

Scope and Contents

The Grants and Programs series includes information about special programs like banquets and award ceremonies as well as several grants the Office applied for and received. These grants relate to funding for the AS-L Office on the whole, but also include grants related to specific programs. Grants covered in the subseries include Fund for Improvement of Post-Secondary Education (FIPSE), Michigan Service Scholars, Venture, and other funding from the Department of Education. Programs include specific short-term programs implemented by the Office of AS-L. Some of these programs are recurring and crucial to the mission of the Office of AS-L. Others were one-time events and sometimes funded by a specific grant or occurred as a result of a specific need. The programs in this series include: “B-Side,” a major yearly program put on for youth entrepreneurs every year by the Office of AS-L; The Community Youth Mapping project for which there is one year of records; and the Center for Civic Engagement, an ongoing project. Materials in this series have arranged alphabetically.
