Papers, 1885 - 1895
Scope and Contents
The Pedagogical Society records document the activities of the society as well as providing information on educational theory and methods, and the history of education. The collection spans the years from 1885 to 1900, with the bulk of the material dating from 1892 to 1900. There are meeting outlines, some with handwritten notes and a bound minute book of meetings from 1896 to 1900. The collection also includes papers and outlines of papers presented before the Society, including a bound series of papers entitled "A Study in the Unification of School Work" (1893-1894). Also included are three promotional posters for Society.
