Campus negative collection
Scope and Contents
The Campus Negative collection consists of 5 x 7 inch glass plate negatives of the Michigan State Normal College (Eastern Michigan University) campus. The Michigan State Normal College was established in 1849, and the original building was constructed in 1852. Campus expanded as enrollment grew, and the photographs in the Campus Negative collection show views of buildings on campus in the 1920s, only two of which (Starkweather and Welch Halls) exist on campus today. The Campus Negative collection is arranged by building. Both Sherzer Hall and Boone Hall have multiple negatives.
