Scope and Contents
The Eastern Michigan University Convocation Center was approved by the Board of Regents in 1991-1992, and was dedicated in 1998. The record collection includes materials from date to date, and includes materials relating to the planning, building, dedication, and events held at the Center.

Administrative History
The Convocation Center planning began in January of 1989, when the Board of Regents of Eastern Michigan University approved $75,000 for a planning study. The firm Rossetti and Associates presented their study to the Board of Regents in July of 1989, and the Facilities Planning Team was created. The building itself was dedicated in 1998 and is still in use.
