Scope and Contents
The Eastern Michigan University Negative collection is arranged in three series: Campus Life, Classroom Instruction, and University Buildings. The Campus Life series includes athletics, Aurora staff, band and theater, banquets and teas, bowling alley, class games, field services, freshman events, graduation, high school music, homecoming, Normal News, poetry recital, registration, ROTC Field Events, school dance, staff, faculty and alumni, student government, and theater, concerts and performances. The Classroom Instruction series includes art gallery, printing & art duplication, audio visual, business education, human skeleton, industrial arts, music department, and workshop at Willow Run Junior High. The third series, University Buildings contains arts building, campus shots, dedications and groundbreakings, greenhouse and Hover Building, Health Center, housing, Ford Hall, Lincoln School, McKenny Union, open houses, Pease Auditorium, Pierce Hall, Rackham, Roosevelt School, science building, Starkweather Hall, and Welch Hall. The collection is arranged alphabetically. Records date from 1949-1959.
