Friends of the EMU Library collection
Abstract
The Friends of the EMU Library collection, 1971-2011 primarily documents the second incarnation of the Friends of the Library at Eastern Michigan University. A "Friends" group was established in the 1970s and is documented in this collection with their publication AMICI, however, the bulk of collection materials date from 2003-2011 and documents the Friends of the EMU Library group that was formed in 2003 to fundraise money for the library and support library related activities like readings, lectures, and book signings. Materials are arranged chronologically with the exception of the board member, bylaws, brochures and flyers, and correspondence files which appear in the collection after the initial planning documents.
