Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity collection
Abstract
The Delta Sigma Phi fraternity collection contains the records of the Gamma Tau Chapter at Eastern Michigan University. Included in the collection are the articles of incorporation, by laws and constitutions, correspondence, event flyers, information from the 1991 Homecoming, legal reports, meeting minutes, member lists, news articles, petitions, a pledge manual, publications, and rental documents.

Historical Note
Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity was founded at City College in New York on December 10, 1899. The Fraternity was founded on the principle of universal brotherhood, and included men from all religious backgrounds. The Gamma Tau chapter was founded at Eastern Michigan University on November 9, 1852 on the prinicples of leadership, scholarship, and social involvement.
