The Department of Leadership and Counseling provides top-quality educational experiences for adult learners who are employed on a full-time basis in their respective fields. The Department of Leadership and Counseling collection includes academic handbooks, annual reports, correspondence, course approvals, pamphlets, and program reviews. It is arranged alphabetically with records dating from 1980-2006. It is not a complete record of the department.

Administrative History note
The Department of Leadership and Counseling provides top-quality educational experiences for adult learners who are employed on a full-time basis in their respective fields. Both the educational leadership program and the counseling program, which are Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) accredited, seek to distinguish themselves in the state of Michigan through graduate degrees that lead to voluntary administrative certification, counselor licensure, and school counselor endorsement.
