Teen Biz records

 Collection
Identifier: 07.TB

Scope and Contents

The Teen Biz files contain records pertaining to the Teen Biz: Teens in Business Through the Arts Program. The collection is divided into several series: Meeting Minutes, Photography, Correspondence, Journal Publications, Literature, Administrative Files, Flyers and Events, and Compact Disc. The Journal Publications series has been divided into two parts: Drafts, and Published Writing. The Administrative Files series has been divided into the following categories: Curriculum, Program Reports, W-9s, Proposals, Attendance Records, Participant Evaluations, Team Leaders, Dismissed Participants, Participants, Participant Writings, Budgetary Files, Textbook, and 2008 Earmark guides. The Program Reports series has been further divded by year. The weakness of the collection lies in the fact that the year 2005 is not represented. The strength of the collection is represented in the sheer volume of correspondence collected in email printout form. The trials of implementing and maintaining a youth outreach program can be readily appreciated in the back and forth communication with faculty, volunteers, and parents.
