Abstract
The Peggy Liggit records include materials from Liggit's work in Academic Assessment and the Faculty Development Center from 2001 to 2014. The collection contains accreditation documents, assessment materials, workshop documents, program reviews, and other materials. This collection is useful to the study of university evaluations and support services.

Biographical / Historical
Peggy Liggit received her PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Nevada-Reno in 1994, before becoming a professor of biology and science education at EMU in 1998. Liggit worked as a faculty member until 2008, and she was Director of Academic Assessment from 2009 until 2012. In 2012, she became the Director of the B. K. Nelson Faculty Development Center, where her research focuses on learner-centered teaching in higher education, organizational learning, humanized assessment practices, and faculty peer-coaching. Liggit returned to the teaching faculty in 2020 and retired from EMU after the 2020-21 Academic Year.
