Office of Financial Aid records
Abstract
The Office of Financial Aid records date from 1969 - 2010 with the bulk of materials dating from the mid-1960s through the early 1990s. Included in the collection are a number of publications created by the office and distributed to incoming and current students. Many of the promotional materials and correspondence was directed to school principals and guidance counselors. President John Porter presented to a Congressional Sub-Committee on higher education about the decrease in federal financial aid and the impact on students enrolled at Eastern Michigan University. This was also the time period in which all three of the included reports were published.
