John B. Virtue papers
John B. Virtue was a professor of English at Eastern Michigan University from 1946 until 1971. Virtue taught classic literature including Shakespeare and was well loved by both students and staff. His papers consist primarily of meeting minutes, memos, records books, clippings and published articles. The papers are arranged alphabetically. Records date from 1942 to 1989.

John Harold Goodsman collection
The John Harold Goodsman collection contains several letterman sweaters and blanket that belonged to Goodsman while he attended Michigan State Normal College (MSNC) from 1935-39. Goodsman, nicknamed "Red" by his team, lettered in tennis and band. He played tennis for three of his four years attending the school. He was captain of the tennis team for two of his three years participating. Goodsman graduated from MSNC in 1939.

John M. Munson was the thirteenth president of Michigan State Normal College, serving from 1933 through 1948. The John M. Munson papers include both personal materials, as well as files from the Office of the President, from approximately 1904 through 1950.

The John Mahelm Berry Sill reference collection document the eighth president of Michigan State Normal College, who served from 1886 to 1893. His papers consist of such materials as researcher biographies, press clippings, CVs, handwritten speeches, and memorials and obituaries.

John S. Elwell was a faculty member of the Department of Music at Eastern Michigan University from 1948 to 1975. His papers consist of correspondence, clippings, programs from musical events, and a large collection of sheet music which Elwell accumulated.
