Scope Note: Continuing education is an all-encompassing term within a broad spectrum of post-secondary learning activities and programs. Abstract

On January 1, 1962 Eastern Michigan University, joined the University of Michigan and Wayne State University in a program providing adult education classes through the University center for Adult Education.
