Abstract

The Jack Weiss collection contains one letterman blanket that belonged to Weiss while he attended Michigan State Normal College. Weiss lettered in both football and track and field. He was number 64 on the football team and play for four years. Weiss competed in the weights division of track and field for three years. He graduated from MSNC in 1950.

During his time at the Normal College he was a member of the Phi Delta Pi fraternity and the Physical Education Club, held the position of lineman on the football team where he lettered in the fall of 1936, '37 and '38 and threw shotput for the Track and Field team (1938, '39). Scope and Contents From the Series: The Reels and Cassettes series contains the actual physical tape reels and cassettes. Each reel/cassette is housed in its original reel/cassette case with Westerman's handwritten table of contents on the back. Seeing the wide array of subjects included on each reel illustrates the need for the index card and photocopy system.
