Corporate Education Center records
In 1984 Eastern Michigan University proposed the construction of a Corporate Training Center to be located in southeast Michigan. It was meant to be a multi-purpose space that would offer accommodations for training, conference proceedings, lodging, and recreation. The Corporate Education Center records documents the construction of the center (erected in 1988 and dedicated in 1989) including agreements with various contractors; general files for management of the center; reports and proposals; and promotional materials. Records in the collection are arranged into two series: Coroporate Education Center and Eagle Crest Conference and Resort. For a period of time the building housed the Eastern Michigan University Foundation and Alumni Relations, although both of those were moved back to central campus in 2015. Materials in the collection date from 1984-2008.
