The Barriers to Learning Advisory Committee records include materials from the Barriers to Learning Initiative (BTL), an initative to improve university functions, from 1997-2000. The collection contains reports, agendas, initiatives, and other materials pertaining to the operation of BTL. This collection is valuable to the study of advisory committees and program initiatives in higher education.

Ellene (Nina) Tatras Contis served as the Assistant Vice President for Administrative Services from 2002 - 2004 and the Associate Vice President for Undergraduate Studies and Curriculum (now known as Associate Provost) from 2004 -2006. The Harold E. Sponberg papers documents the tenure of Eastern Michigan University President Harold E. Sponberg, 1965-74. Included in this collection are records documenting his Inauguration, Retirement, Office and Personal files.
