William C. Lawrence papers
William C. Lawrence was a professor in the Special Education department from 1954 to 1956, and from 1956 to 1967 served Dean of Students and VP of Student Affairs. His papers are composed primarily of correspondence from his years as an administrator.

William F. Shuter was an emeritus professor from the Eastern Michigan University Department of English, Language, and Literature from 1968 until 2004. The majority of the William F. Shuter papers are research files dating from 1968 through 2004. Women's and Gender Studies Department records
The Women's and Gender Studies Department was initiated in 1975 and has grown from offering the first minor in Women's Studies in Michigan, to offering an undergraduate major and minor, and the state's only stand-alone Master of Arts in Women's and Gender Studies. The Women's Studies records range from 1970 to 2010 and include correspondence, minutes, program reviews, cassette tapes, video tapes, fliers, poems, clippings, pamphlets, and photographs.

The Work Projects Administration collection documents the projects completed by the WPA at Eastern Michigan University, then Michigan State Normal College.
