Scope and Contents

The Michigan Seal with Personal Note contains a framed, embosed Michigan State Seal. The seal has a short description beneath it, as well as a personal note. The ink has faded considerably, but it seems the seal was a welcome gift to a new facutly or staff member at Eastern Michigan University.

Abstract

Orland O. Norris was a professor of Latin and Education at Michigan State Normal College from approximately 1905 to his death in 1938. The Norris papers include newspaper clippings and obituaries, although the bulk of the collection is composed of handwritten, typed, and published versions of articles, including edited drafts and finished versions.

Abstract The Marcello Truzzi papers document the research and writing of Marcello Truzzi, professor of sociology at Eastern Michigan University (EMU) from 1974-2003. While comprehensive of his research and writings, the collection does not document the teaching he did prior to arriving at EMU or while EMU. The Office Professionals Day collection contains memorabilia from the event. The objects in the container include a soup bowl and spoon, and a metal water bottle.

Abstract

The Provost's Faculty Dinner collection consists of color slides that were presented at the annual event at Eastern Michigan University, and items distributed to commemorate the event. Materials in the collection date from 1994-2000.

Abstract

The Peter Strevens Lecture collection contains audio and visual recordings of lectures given by Strevens, a McCandeless Scholar. The recordings are in VHS and cassette tape formats. The collection is arranged alphabetically. Records date from 1988.

Professor Robert Michael Citino was a professor at Eastern Michigan University in the history department from 1991 to 2009. His fields of study include Western European history, military history, the Habsburg Empire, and modern German history. Abstract Dr. Richard Robb, was appointed to the Board of Regents in 1967 by Governor George W. Romney, and elected chairman in 1975.
