Scope and Contents

The Michigan Seal with Personal Note contains a framed, embosed Michigan State Seal. The seal has a short description beneath it, as well as a personal note. The ink has faded considerably, but it seems the seal was a welcome gift to a new facutly or staff member at Eastern Michigan University.

Orland O. Norris papers

Abstract

Orland O. Norris was a professor of Latin and Education at Michigan State Normal College from approximately 1905 to his death in 1938. The Norris papers include newspaper clippings and obituaries, although the bulk of the collection is composed of handwritten, typed, and published versions of articles, including edited drafts and finished versions.
