The Child Care Facility records include papers pertaining to child care demands and program evolution at Eastern Michigan University from 1970-2014. The collection includes program proposals, press releases, handbooks, marketing tools, and other materials. The bulk of materials are from the decade of the 1980s, which documents the change from the EMU Children's Center to the Children's Institute. This collection is valuable to the study of child care needs and program changes.
The Cynthia I. Wedding sweatshirt is a children's Michigan State Normal College sweatshirt that belonged to student Cynthia Wedding. Wedding attended the Normal College in the 1950s, but did not complete her degree. She was kiled in an accident in 1956. The sweatshirt was donated by her brother Robert Wedding in 2009. Cynthia and Robert were the only two children of Walter Young Wedding and Mary Szebo Wedding.
The Delta Psi Kappa Scrapbook collection contains two scrapbooks that document the activities and events of Delta Psi Kappa sorority at Eastern Michigan University. Records date from 1963-1980.
The Delta Sigma Phi fraternity collection contains the records of the Gamma Tau Chapter at Eastern Michigan University. Included in the collection are the articles of incorporation, by laws and constitutions, correspondence, event flyers, information from the 1991 Homecoming, legal reports, meeting minutes, member lists, news articles, petitions, a pledge manual, publications, and rental documents.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority collection contains Constitution and Bylaws, Flyers and Notices, Newspaper Clippings, 25th Anniversary Program and Delta Journal for the Delta Beta Chapter at Eastern Michigan University.
The materials in the Delta Zeta Sorority collection date from 1986 to 2014, with the majority of the collection containing scrapbooks, photographs, trophies and other ephemera. The collection does not contain minutes, membership lists, or local governing documents. It is possible that such documentation still resides with the Delta Zeta Sorority at Eastern Michigan University.
The Distinguished Visitors collection contains clippings, press releases and photographs of notable speakers and visitors to the campus of Eastern Michigan University. Materials date from 1896 to 2008, with the bulk of the materials dating from 1952-2000; and are arranged alphabetically.
