Lewis Profit came to Michigan State Normal College from Central Michigan College in 1954. His first position was as the director of McKenny Hall. In 1956, Profit was given the position of Director of Self-Liquidating Projects at the college, which put the men's and women's residence halls, as well as the union, under Profit's direction.
