Student Declaration records
The Student Declaration records are composed of cards, arranged alphabetically, that include each student's name, signature certifying their intention to teach in the state of Michigan, their home residence, and church. On the back of each card is a transcript demonstrating their completion of coursework; included is the course title, date, grade, and the initials of the teacher.
Teaching Excellence Awards collection
The Teaching Excellence Awards collection consists of a trophy given at Eastern Michigan University to faculty; candidates are nominated by alumni and students, and seven faculty members are awarded every year.

William H. Sherzer papers
The William H. Sherzer papers document Sherzer's personal and professional life. Sherzer taught geology and was head of the natural sciences at Michigan State Normal College from 1892-1932. His collection includes clippings, biographical information, correspondence, photographs, Sherzer's publications and resource publications. The collection is arranged alphabetically. Records date from 1885-1968.
