Abstract Lloyd W. Olds was an alumni, faculty member, and athletic coach at Eastern Michigan University. Dr. Olds joined the EMU faculty in 1921 and worked in the Department of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, of which he served as the department chair from 1956 to 1963. The Michigan Seal with Personal Note contains a framed, embosed Michigan State Seal. The seal has a short description beneath it, as well as a personal note. The ink has faded considerably, but it seems the seal was a welcome gift to a new facutly or staff member at Eastern Michigan University.

Orland O. Norris papers

Orland O. Norris was a professor of Latin and Education at Michigan State Normal College from approximately 1905 to his death in 1938. The Norris papers include newspaper clippings and obituaries, although the bulk of the collection is composed of handwritten, typed, and published versions of articles, including edited drafts and finished versions.
