Abstract

Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority was founded at Eastern Michigan University in 1899. It was originally founded as an educational organization, but is now regarded as a social sorority. The collection contains two oversized paddles, traditionally given to members by a "big sister".

Abstract The Barbara Warner Weiss papers, 1909-1997 bulk dates 1947-1950, primarily document her membership in the Sigma Nu Phi Sorority. The collection does not contain minutes, membership lists, or local governing documents.
